We are excited to be in the show ring with our Bassets and to have them evaluated by judges HERE ON the east coast area. After 22 years of breeding, our breeding program has proven to meet the standards of the breed in conformation, temperament and health. we do gonioscopy and thrombopathia TESTING ON our HOUNDS to protect the breed we love.

Ida needed only 3 minor pts to champion and she picked that up June 11th at the Skyline Kennel Club show under judge Molly Martin. She not only got the Winners Bitch but she also went Best of Opposite in the Best of Breed. : )

Corkey's Low Down Ida gets Winners Bitch and Corkey's Red White Tulip Tilly gets Best of Opposite Sex March 13th at the Shenandoah Valley Kennel Club Show, both under judge Mrs. Paula Hartinger. Ida now needs 3 minor points to champion and Tilly only needs 9 points to Grand Champion. Tilly also picked up Select Bitch the day before under judge Mrs. Susan St John Brown.

Moe quickly finished his championship with all majors at the age of just turning 1 year old! Professional picture coming.

Guerrero and Dr. Richard Meen at the Potomac Hound Club and the Middle Peninsula Kennel Club shows both in Richmond. He now needs only 4 pts to become a champion. Professional pictures coming. Mighty Moe was bred by Robin Snell and we thank her for the opportunity of owning him.

We entered Corkey's Mighty Black Jack and Zen's Corkey's Mighty Moe in the Forsyth KC show, Dec 6th and 7th, 2014. On Saturday Jack won his puppy class and then took reserve winners of the dogs. On Sunday, Moe got his first major, Winners Dog and Best of Opposite Sex under AKC Judge Sharol Candace Way, for a 3 point major. We were very pleased.

Zen's Corkey's Mighty Moe and Corkey's Mighty Black Jack's first show at Warrenton Kennel Club in Millwood, Va. They were 7 months old and did pretty good for babies. Moe came in 2nd of his puppy class on Friday and Sunday, Jack came in 2nd on Saturday. As always it was lots of fun and more knowledge!

AUGUST 1, 2014 - Went to the Roanoke Kennel Club Puppy Match yesterday, with Zen's Corkey's Mighty Moe and Corkey's Mighty Black Jack for the puppy match. Moe and Jack are just about 5 months old and this was good practice for these boys and me. Thanks to Robin Snell, Moe's breeder, for taking Jack in the ring for me. Video below.
